Crisis Director
Austin
Hi! My name is Austin and I’m currently a senior at Shanghai American School Puxi. I’ve enjoyed MUN for nearly 5 years with two years of experience in managing crisis. This year, we have a very ambitious 4-way power dynamic planned for crisis committee, incorporating elements of history, economics, and politics. Beyond MUN, I’m also an avid reader of history and enjoy the occasional chess game. I wish all of you a meaningful and fun experience at SHAMUN!

Crisis Director
Ruitao
Hi Everyone! My name is Ruitao and I’ll be one of your Crisis Directors. My involvement in MUN begins all the way back in middle school since then I have participated in over 10 MUN conferences, accruing ample experience as both a delegate and officer. Crisis council is considerably different than conventional MUN committees, but I think that once you get the hang of it the dynamic interactions and fast pace really makes for exciting and unorthodox debate. I think you will find portfolio powers to be especially engaging, and I cannot wait to get to know you all and work with you during our time together!

Deputy President
Samuela
Hey y’all! My name is Samuela, I’m a Junior at SMIC, and I cannot wait to serve as your deputy chair in this year’s Crisis committee! I have been doing MUN for the past 6 years now, and having completed over 15 conferences over the years, I am elated to share the 16th with you. I am excited to see what you delegates bring to the table, and I am looking forward to the hours of debate and diplomacy that ensues.

Deputy President
Derek
Hello, my name is Derek. I’m a junior at SAS Puxi and it is my privilege to serve as your Crisis deputy president. I’ve done MUN for 2 years but this will be my first time ever to chair in a committee. The Crisis committee is really unique and it’s quite rare in China. I loved the spontaneous characteristic of the Crisis committee and it’s my personal favorite. I hope you can enjoy it as well!
