Hanwon Kim - President Chair
Hi fellow delegates!
I’m Hanwon, a senior at Concordia International School Shanghai, and I am honored to serve as your president chair. I will be focusing on the topic of establishing global frameworks for green chemistry and sustainable industrialization.
This will mark my fourth year at SHAMUN, and the theme of The Shatterpoint could not be more fitting. At an MUN conference, we have the tools to see the shatterpoint of conflicts and issues, although it requires critical thought to dissect the shatterpoint. At SHAMUN XXVII, I hope that delegates will see the shatterpoint of both the issue and the debate and incorporate that into their resolutions.
To newer delegates, I know it can be daunting to share your ideas or speak in public. I encourage you to do so nonetheless, and, if it doesn’t go as planned, take it as a stepping stone.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or my fellow chairs.
