Hi everyone, my name is Gina Lin and it is my honor to serve as your President Chair in the Security Council! As a rising senior at Shanghai American School Pudong, this will be my seventh year participating in MUN and final conference here at SASPX. As the first conference I ever attended, SHAMUN has shaped much of my MUN journey, making it especially meaningful to return as your chair. Also making it especially meaningful is getting to share this experience with your amazing deputy Andrew, I hope you all don’t get too sick of us at the end of the weekend. Jokes aside, I’m so excited to hear your ideas and engage in your debates. Let's make this a productive, diplomatic, and fruitful Security Council!

Hello everyone, welcome to the SHAMUN XXVI Security Council! I’m Andrew, a senior at Shanghai American School Pudong, and I will serve as your Deputy President. This will be my fourth year in MUN, first time full-time chairing SC (I’ve had to sub in twice at SHASMUNs), eighth time in SC, and ninth time participating in a conference. SHAMUN was when I started my MUN career, and I’m thrilled to share my last SHAMUN experience with you all. To hype things up, I’m beyond excited to chair alongside my dear friend Gina. I hope we all come to this conference with curiosity, kindness, and professionalism. See you in October!
