I am Akul Sai Ranganath Thota (you can call me Akul :) and it is an honor to serve as your President for this iteration of SHAMUN in GA3.

My focus will be on preventing the recruitment and use of children in armed conflict. This remains a devastating human rights violation that robs youth of their future and perpetuates cycles of violence, undermining international peace.

Nelson Mandela said, "There can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way in which it treats its children." As we debate, I urge you to consider not only immediate rescue and demobilization but also long-term rehabilitation and reintegration. Your solutions must address root causes and build sustainable peace.

My name is Arella, and I am currently a freshman at SHSID. It is a great honor to serve as your Deputy President for GA3 at SHAMUN XXVI!

I’ve been doing MUN since seventh grade; SHAMUN XXVI will mark as my 9th conference and my first time chairing. Undoubtedly, MUN has become a meaningful part of my life and allowed me to develop my collaboration, problem-solving, and public-speaking skills.

For many of you, this may be your very first MUN conference, and my biggest advice is: don't panic! Always remember to be confident, challenge yourself to raise your placard, and let your voice be heard in committee room. Additionally, I strongly encourage all delegates to conduct thorough research on all three topics before the conference. Building a strong background knowledge will help you engage more confidently in the debate.

Hey Delegates!

My name is ChuChu, and I'm a sophomore at Shanghai American School Puxi Campus. It is my honor to be serving as your Deputy President of GA3 in this iteration of SHAMUN. This conference will mark as my 10th conference; 2nd as a chair.

During this conference, I will be focusing on the topic of regulating harmful online content targeting children, including cyberbullying and sexual exploitation. Fragmented national laws and lagging enforcement fail to protect children from cyberbullying and sexual exploitation on borderless digital platforms.
