    Esteemed directors, coaches, and delegates, welcome to SHAMUN XXI! My name is Stephanie, I’m a junior at Shanghai American School Pudong Campus, and it is my honor to serve as your chair. SHAMUN was my first MUN experience, when I served as an admin at SHAMUN XVII. I still remember being impressed by the quality of debate at this tournament. I hope to make this SHAMUN just as great of a conference for you, whether this is your first time in MUN or you’re an experienced delegate coming back for more. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

    Delegates and esteemed guests, welcome to SHAMUN's Historical Security Council. My name is Seher, and I have been a proud member of SAS's MUN community for four years now. SHAMUN will be my sixth conference, and I look forward to serving as your chair for the topic of stabilizing turmoil during the Arab Spring of 2011. I hope to help new and returning delegates craft meaningful amendments and speeches and be a part of the fruitful process of passing resolutions and facilitating the flow of a conference. I hope everyone is ready to work together, listen and share thoughtful ideas as we debate critical real-world issues.
