Greetings delegates!

My name is Jihee Kim, and I am currently a senior at SSIS Suzhou. It is my honor to serve as the President Chair of the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs this SHAMUN XXV.  
 
This conference, I will be focusing on the issue of "Strengthening the enforcement mechanisms of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty in the 21st century." As fragmentation in the global political order increases, with nuclear threats resurface in new forces, it is essential that we recommit to the NPT's purpose of maintaining international peace and security. I strongly encourage all delegates to approach this topic with with open minds and critical perspectives, considering both short and long-term implications of inaction.

Hello delegates!

My name is Vincent Zheng, a junior from Shanghai American School Pudong. It is my first time chairing, and it is an honor to serve as your Deputy President.

I will be covering the topic of “Preventing the Militarization of Outer Space and Regulating Anti-Satellite Weapons.” In recent decades, nations have rapidly developed space infrastructure for communication, navigation, and surveillance. Yet the ever-increasing threat of the weaponization of space poses a challenge towards global security and peace.

Hi guys my name is Marcus!

I am a Senior at SAS PUXI and this will unfortunately be my last SHAMUN. I will be covering the autonomous weapons topic so if you need any advice or research suggestions, be sure to email me or add me on insta @ marcus_perez_44.

I strive to be a chill chair, I understand for many of you guys this might be your first MUN so I will be sure to give tips and correct you guys so hopefully you can all become better delegates. I hope that by the time this conference ends, all you delegates have managed to learn something meaningful. Whether it's about the importance of teamwork or how developing detailed and thorough resolutions will likely succeed in conferences.

Finally, I'd advise delegates to participate as much as possible, because we're only giving out a few awards. :)
