President - Rena TongHey Delegates, Welcome to SHAMUN XXV! I am Rena Tong, a senior at SSIS Shanghai, and I am honoured serve as your President Chair. My MUN journey began in 7th grade, and I’ve since attended over 10 conferences. I have witnessed how MUN fosters not only a deeper understanding of global issues and relations but also builds skills in research, negotiation, and public speaking. My topic of specialization is discussing the deployment and governance of AI-driven health tools in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMICs). The use of AI-driven health tools in LMICs may offer improvements to healthcare, but should be discussed to be balanced with ethical, infrastructural and regulatory challenges. MUN is a space to debate, collaborate and create meaningful global solutions. Come prepared to think critically, speak confidently and listen with an open mind. Every voice matters and every idea has the power to make an impact. See you all in October!

Deputy President - Allison WangHello delegates! My name is Allison, currently a sophomore at Shanghai American School Puxi, and it is my honor to serve as the Deputy President of the World Health Assembly at SHAMUN XXV. I have participated in over fifteen conferences over the course of four years. I will be focusing on the topic of “Addressing the issue of vaccine apartheid through distribution frameworks and intellectual property (IP) reforms during outbreaks.” Vaccine apartheid have become glaringly apparent during recent global health crises, where high-income states have a disproportionate share of scarce immunization. Recurring patterns for the limited supply and inequitable allocation of doses indicate the need for frameworks to ensure equitable global distribution of vaccines and flexible IP regulations. Without these efforts, vaccine apartheid will continue to threaten millions of lives. Please feel free to reach out to me anytime if you have any questions. See you in October!
